History,
experience and strength
We have been committed to our clients’ businesses for over 60 years, and over time we have learned to know them like no other, to understand their needs. And with that confidence, we look upon the future. Nothing gets us more excited!
OUR HISTORY
We started our activities under the name of Rheem Chilena in association with the transnational Rheem Manufacturing Company in order to attend to lubricant packaging needs in metal drums for ESSO Company.
Rheem’s industrial operation of plastic packaging is integrated into the business, aiming to meet the requirements of the Chilean market.
Rheem propels a change in the packaging of paint and lubricants, by introducing to the market 1 gallon and 5 gallon buckets, generating a revolutionary change in the way that paint and lubricants are packaged.
We began exporting cylindrical drums. Our primary focus was the Argentine market of tomato paste, concentrated juice and grape must.
Along with the launch of a new line of cylindrical metal drums, the most modern automation system of the time is incorporated into the process.
We introduced the conical metal drum to the market through a joint development with the leading agro-industrial producers in Chile, boosting the exports of tomato paste and fruit pulps, which now reach over 50 countries worldwide.
We obtained the ISO 9001:1994 certification, strengthening our commitment to provide quality for our clients.
We introduced the 1 gallon conical plastic bucket and the IML printing technology, and we began exporting plastic packaging, supported by our business alliances with our strategic partners Shell and Exxon Mobil.
We inaugurated our new plastic packaging plant, consolidating our position as regional leaders in the manufacturing of buckets.
Launch of the 55 and 60-gallon neck-in drums with removable lids, providing a solution for the agro-industry to maximize the drum load per container.
Puesta en marcha de línea productiva de solución de tambores de acero QMS (Quick Manufacturing System), agregando valor a clientes a través de mayor flexibilidad en su abastecimiento y ahorros logísticos importantes.
Expansion of market coverage supplied by Rheem, extending from Oceania to North America.
After a five year expansion period in industrial and technological infrastructure and in the development of human resources, along with the inauguration of a new hybrid line of conical and cylindrical metal drums, we established ourselves as the key player for industrial packaging solutions in the region.
Innovation
Things can be seen through different lenses: as they are, but also as they could be. We use all of our resources, material as well as immaterial, to improve them.
That 's innovating. To look beyond. To be open to new challenges. To challenge “what it is” and turn it into what it could be: to make things reach their full potential. And to move forward.
At Rheem, innovation is at the heart of every process. It’s in our way of seeing the world. And we love it.
OUR QUALITY POLICY

We are ISO 9001:2015 quality certified, which is our starting point for offering the best of ourselves. At Rheem, we are committed to efficiency and excellence.
